We all have stuff. Some of us have so much stuff. Let Joy Method be the answer to your questions of how to possibly sort through it all, and plan with friends and family on passing down not only your things, but your unique stories.
PANTRY RESCUE:
-
BEFORE
These homeowners have a beautiful home, overall. We all have our pain points, and the pantry just wasn’t working to it’s full potential.
-
AFTER
By removing all items in the pantry, grouping like with like, the solution involved implementing a few pretty jars for the high volume products like flour, sugar, pasta, and yes - nutritional yeast! Adding a few lazy susans always helps to access the items that otherwise get lost in the background and end up expired and sad.
OFFICE SPACE
-
BEFORE
This small business owner has worked tirelessly since beginning her new venture, and has had no time to get the office in order.
-
AFTER
Using the same space, clearing out what wasn’t needed, rearranging a bit, and implementing a filing system for paperwork turned this space into a functional office space.
MUDROOM FLIP 1:
-
BEFORE
This room did a complete purge and a flip. The homeowner did not prefer having the kitchen items on this far side of the room. She wanted it closer to the door that enters the kitchen. Makes sense.
-
AFTER
So, it flipped. Once the room was emptied completely, the homeowner swapped the shelving, etc. Thus, allowing for this corner to become the coat and shoe drop zone.
MUDROOM FLIP 2:
-
BEFORE
This corner of the mudroom had begun to lose it’s function and identity.
-
AFTER
So, we created one. By moving the black ikea shoe boxes to the wall, hanging the keys, housing the cleaning products in baskets and a hutch, and creating a designated area for the shoes that are used daily.
MUDROOM FLIP 3:
-
BEFORE
This corner of the room was the drop spot for coats, and random items. Also, it’s right off of the kitchen, so we decided it best to move the kitchen items here instead.
-
AFTER
And, as you can see this is now a more functional and intentional space that works better for this family’s daily life.
